Glory to Jesus Christ!

This Sunday reminds us that tomorrow we begin the Great Fast.

The teaching of God’s Word (Мт.6:14-21), also prepares us for the Great Fast, calling us to mutual forgiveness and a sincere life of self-sacrifice in God’s presence.

Reconciliation with our neighbor is the prerequisite for our reconciliation with God. God calls us to mutual forgiveness and love. We are not to put off seeking forgiveness from others or put off granting them forgiveness. While this is not easy, but it is unavoidable.

Only in mutual forgiveness are we capable to rightly begin the Great Fast. During the Great Fast, every Christian, who has no impediment is obligated, by the Commandments of the Church, to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Let us reconcile ourselves both with God and our neighbor. Amen
